HOKE Relief Valves: Sourcing and Technical Questions

  • The cracking pressure range of HOKE R6000 relief valves runs from 5 psig to 6,000 psig (0 to 414 bar) across four models: LR6000 at 5 to 550 psig, MR6000 at 150 to 2,500 psig, HR6000 at 150 to 5,000 psig, and XR6000 at 5,000 to 6,000 psig.

  • The maximum operating pressure is up to 7,000 psig (482 bar) on the HR6000 and XR6000, 6,000 psig (414 bar) on the MR6000, and 700 psig (48 bar) on the LR6000.

  • The difference is the pressure class, the orifice size, and the poppet design. The LR6000 uses a zero-friction poppet with a 0.188-inch orifice for 5 to 550 psig duty, the MR6000 uses a balanced poppet with a 0.188-inch orifice for 150 to 2,500 psig, the HR6000 uses a 0.094-inch orifice for 150 to 5,000 psig, and the XR6000 uses a 0.082-inch orifice for 5,000 to 6,000 psig.

  • We supply the R6000 in 1/4 inch male NPT × female NPT, 1/4 inch male NPT × GYROLOK, 1/4 inch GYROLOK × GYROLOK, 1/4 inch BSPT male × BSPT female, and 6 mm, 8 mm, and 12 mm GYROLOK pairings.

  • Yes, PED 97/23/EC certification and CE 0035 marking are standard on every R6000 model. For PED applications, use the valve in clean gas service only, free from dust and contamination (gas groups 1 and 2).
