HOKE 1700 Series Needle Valves

Design Type: Forged body, integral bonnet design.
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel and MONEL.
Orifice Size: 0.187 inch (4.8 mm).
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.31 to 0.45.
Stem Tip Options: Non-rotating hardened 17-4PH stainless steel, MONEL, or replaceable PCTFE.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 psig (414 bar) at 70°F (21°C).
Temperature Range: -65 to +450°F (-54 to +232°C) with metal stem tip; -20 to +250°F (-29 to +121°C) with PCTFE stem tip.
Packing: Dyna-Pak wafer packing below the stem threads.
End Connections: 1/4" GYROLOK, 3/8" GYROLOK, 8 mm GYROLOK, 1/4" male NPT, 1/4" female NPT.

HOKE 2100 Series Needle Valves

Design Type: Bar stock body, two-piece screwed bonnet design in globe and angle patterns.
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel, carbon steel, and brass.
Orifice Sizes: 0.188 inch (4.8 mm), 0.250 inch (6.4 mm), and 0.313 inch (8.0 mm).
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.40 to 1.20.
Stem Tip Options: Regulating stem tip, or metal stem with non-rotating replaceable PCTFE stem tip.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 psig (414 bar) at 70°F for 316 stainless steel; 5,000 psig (345 bar) at 70°F for carbon steel; 3,000 psig (207 bar) at 70°F for brass.
Temperature Range: -65 to +450°F (-54 to +232°C) with Dyna-Pak and metal stem tip; -20 to +250°F (-29 to +121°C) with Dyna-Pak and PCTFE stem tip; -60 to +600°F (-51 to +316°C) with Graph-Lock and metal stem tip.
Packing Options: Dyna-Pak (standard) or Graph-Lock for high temperature service.
End Connections: 1/4" GYROLOK, 3/8" GYROLOK, 1/2" GYROLOK, 1/4" female NPT, 3/8" female NPT, 1/2" male NPT, 1/2" female NPT.

HOKE 2200 Series Needle Valves

Design Type: Bar stock body, screwed bonnet design in globe and angle patterns.
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel.
Orifice Sizes: 0.086 inch to 0.313 inch (2.2 mm to 8.0 mm).
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.12 to 1.40.
Stem Tip Options: Blunt vee-point and regulating, with HASTELLOY C-276 stem tip for long service life.
Pressure Rating: 5,000 psig (345 bar) at 70°F (21°C).

HOKE 2219 Series Needle Valves

Design Type: Forged body, union bonnet design for severe service.
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel, carbon steel, HASTELLOY C-276, and MONEL.
Orifice Sizes: 0.170 inch, 0.250 inch, 0.312 inch, and 0.437 inch (4.3 mm, 6.4 mm, 7.9 mm, and 11.1 mm).
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.47, 1.09, and 1.20 (Cv for 0.437" orifice not published).
Stem Tip: Non-rotating 316 stainless steel.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 psig (414 bar) at 70°F (21°C) with a 2:1 proof pressure safety factor and 4:1 burst pressure ratio.
Temperature Range: -100 to +1,000°F (-75 to +538°C) at 1,750 psig (120 bar) maximum.
Packing: Grafoil below the stem threads for high temperature service.
End Connections: GYROLOK fractional up to 1" and metric up to 25 mm, female NPT up to 1", NPS pipe socket weld 3/8" to 1", tube socket weld 3/8" to 1".

HOKE 3700, 3800, 3900 Series Needle Valves

Design Type: Forged body, integral bonnet design in globe and angle patterns.
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel, MONEL, carbon steel, and brass.
Orifice Sizes: 0.060 inch to 0.312 inch (1.5 mm to 7.9 mm) across the 3700, 3800, and 3900 sub-series.
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.07 to 1.10.
Stem Tip Options: Six options including PCTFE, metal, vee-point, blunt vee-point, and regulating.
Pressure Rating: 5,000 psig (345 bar) at 70°F for 316 stainless steel, MONEL, and carbon steel; 3,000 psig (207 bar) at 70°F for brass.

HOKE Needle Valves: Sourcing and Technical Questions

The pressure rating reaches 6,000 psig (414 bar) at 70°F in 316 stainless steel for the 1700, 2100, and 2219 Series, and the 2219 Severe Service Series operates up to 1,000°F (538°C) at 1,750 psig with Grafoil packing. Brass models in the 2100 and 3700/3800/3900 Series carry 3,000 psig (207 bar) at 70°F.

The body materials available are 316 stainless steel, brass, carbon steel, MONEL, and HASTELLOY C-276 (HASTELLOY C-276 body is offered on the 2219 Severe Service Series).

The 1700 and 3700/3800/3900 are forged-body integral bonnet valves for general instrumentation. The 2100 and 2200 are bar stock screwed bonnet valves, with the 2100 offering high temperature service to +600°F via Graph-Lock packing and the 2200 offering corrosive service with a HASTELLOY C-276 stem tip. The 2219 is a forged-body union bonnet severe service valve meeting ANSI 900# for steam and hot condensate duty up to +1,000°F.

The packing options are Dyna-Pak (TFE wafer) for standard service to +450°F, Graph-Lock for high temperature service to +600°F on the 2100 Series, and Grafoil for steam and severe service up to +1,000°F on the 2219 Series. Buna-N and Viton O-ring kits are available for the 3700 and 3800 Series.

The 2219 Severe Service Series handles steam service in power plants. It meets ANSI 900# specifications, operates up to 1,000°F (538°C) at 1,750 psig, and uses Grafoil packing with a non-rotating 316 stainless steel stem tip.

Panel mounting is standard on the 1700, 2100, and 2200 Series and optional on the 3700, 3800, and 3900 Series through D-style (factory-installed) or P-style (field kit) mounting.
