A stainless steel pipe is a strong and corrosion-resistant pipe manufactured from stainless steel, an alloy of iron, chromium, and nickel. The chromium content of 10.5% creates a layer of chromium oxide on the surface that does not allow rust and corrosion. Nickel increases the corrosion resistance and the strength of the alloy. Stainless steel pipes are used in industries to convey fluids and gases because of their strength and durability, and they do not rust or stain easily.

Key tests include hydrostatic testing for leaks under pressure, ultrasonic testing for internal flaws and wall thickness, dye penetrant testing for surface cracks, and radiographic testing using X-rays or gamma rays to detect internal defects. These tests confirm the pipe’s structural integrity and suitability for various applications.
