Oliver Standard Needle Valves (Hand Valves)

Types: F Type (in-line, Female x Female), M Type (in-line, Male x Female), BI Type (twin ferrule compression), A Type (angle pattern).
Body Materials: 316 stainless steel and carbon steel.
End Connection Sizes: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" on F and M Types. BI Type in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and metric 6 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 PSI (414 bar) standard. 10,000 PSI (690 bar) with the /HP option.
Temperature Range: Up to 240°C (464°F) with PTFE packing. Up to 540°C (1,004°F) with Graphite packing on Firesafe variants.
Stem Turns: Approximately 6 turns from fully open to fully closed, clockwise to close.
Packing: PTFE (red dust cap), Graphite (black dust cap), or degreased for oxygen service (white dust cap).
Tip Options: Standard, Metering, Soft (PEEK up to 6,000 PSI), or Hard (Stellite 6). Field-interchangeable.
Other Features: Anti-blowout spindle, non-rotating self-centering tip, 316 SS locking pin, colour-coded identity ring (blue isolate, red vent, green equalise).

Oliver Heavy Duty Needle Valves (HD Type)

Body Materials: 316 stainless steel and carbon steel.
Connection: NPT, Male or Female configuration.
Bore: 0.21" (5.4 mm).
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 0.46.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 PSI (414 bar) standard. 10,000 PSI (690 bar) on /HD/HP option. 15,000 PSI (1,034 bar) on /HD/15HP with cone and threaded ports.
NPT Thread Rating Caveat: 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT threads rate to 10,000 PSI maximum. 3/4" and 1" NPT threads rate to 6,000 PSI maximum, per ANSI standards.
Stem Turns: 4.5 turns from fully open to fully closed.
Seat: Metal-to-metal.
Packing: PTFE standard. Graphite available.
Handle: T-Bar.

Oliver 22.5 KSI High-Pressure Needle Valves (/22.5HP)

Design Pressure: 22,500 PSI (1,551 bar).
Temperature Range: -50°C (-60°F) to +240°C (+464°F).
Bore: 8 mm (0.312").
Stem Turns: 4 to 5 turns from closed to open.
End Connection: 9/16" MP cone and thread.
Body Material: 316 stainless steel.
Spindle Tip: Inconel 718.
Pusher: Nickel bronze.
T Bar: 316 stainless steel.
Gland Seal: Glass/Moly filled PTFE.

Oliver Miniature Needle Valves

Series: MFF Type (miniature single isolate), MG12AF Type (miniature 2-valve manifold), MDBBINPM/MTG Type (miniature DBB manifold).
Body Material: 316 stainless steel. Other materials on request.
Connection Sizes: 1/4" NPT and 1/2" NPT, Female x Female or Male x Female.
Pressure Rating: 6,000 PSI (414 bar) standard. 10,000 PSI (690 bar) on /HP option.
Temperature Range: -20°F (-29°C) to +350°F (+180°C).
Mounting: Two M5 tapped panel-mount holes in the valve body as standard.
Compliance: NACE MR-01-75 / ISO 15156 compliant.
Other Features: Low operating torque, non-rotating anti-galling tip, anti blow-out spindle with back seat.

Oliver LT200 Cryogenic Needle Valves

Max Working Pressure: 3,600 PSI (248.2 bar).
Temperature Range: -196°C (-320.8°F) to ambient.
Fugitive Emission Qualification: ISO 15848 Class B.
End Connection: 1/2" NPT Female x Female on the cryogenic single isolate pattern.
Construction: Extended bonnet to keep the gland packing above cryogenic temperatures during service, with vapour space above the packing.

The maximum pressure rating reaches 22,500 PSI (1,551 bar) on the /22.5HP design. The Heavy Duty range with /15HP rates to 15,000 PSI, the /HP option rates to 10,000 PSI, and the standard hand valves rate to 6,000 PSI.

A Standard Oliver needle valve takes approximately 6 turns from fully open to fully closed, clockwise to close. The Heavy Duty version takes 4.5 turns, and the 22.5 KSI high-pressure version takes 4 to 5 turns.

The Heavy Duty needle valve has a Cv of 0.46 and a 0.21" (5.4 mm) bore, with a metal-to-metal seat and T-bar handle as standard.
