These Oliver Double Block and Bleed valves combine two isolating valves and one bleed valve in a single forged body, replacing the conventional three-valve hook-up at pressure instrument take-offs, sampling points, chemical injection tappings, and drain connections. Oliver D Type Forged DBB Valves

Design: Single-piece upset forging with two inline ball pattern isolating valves and a heavy-duty needle valve vent.
Bore Sizes: 10mm (0.40"), 14mm (0.55"), and 20mm (0.80").
Flow Coefficient (Cv): 6.3 (10mm bore), 11.7 (14mm bore), 27.9 (20mm bore).
End Connections: Flange to flange or flange to pipe. Flange sizes 1/2" NB to 2" NB, Classes 150 to 2500 RF and RTJ, also API 5K and API 10K.
Vent Connection: 1/2" NPT Female standard.
Pressure Rating: 150lb class through 10,000 PSI.
Temperature Range: Up to 240°C with soft (PTFE) seats. Up to 350°C with metal seats.
Body Materials: ASTM A350 LF2 carbon steel, ASTM A182 F316 stainless steel, ASTM A182 F51 Duplex (UNS S31803), UNS S32760 Super Duplex, Monel 400, Ferralium 255.
Handle: 1/4-turn lever on the ball isolating valves; screw-down T-bar on the heavy-duty needle vent. BLOK-LOK locking pin on all end adaptors.

Oliver F Type Forged DBB Valves

Design: Single-piece upset forging with two inline ball pattern isolating valves and a ball valve vent.
Bore Sizes: 10mm (0.40") and 14mm (0.55") in forged construction. 20mm bore available in bolted construction only.

Design: Single-piece grain flow controlled forging with three heavy-duty needle valves, primary and secondary isolate plus needle vent.
Bore Size: 5.4mm (0.23") metal-to-metal seated.
End Connections: Flange to flange or flange to pipe. Flange sizes 1/2" NB to 2" NB, Classes 150 to 2500 RF and RTJ.
Pressure Rating: 150lb class through 2500lb class, rated to 10,000 PSI on request.
Temperature Range: Up to 540°C depending on material and packing.
Body Materials: ASTM A350 LF2 carbon steel, ASTM A182 F316 stainless steel, Duplex F51, Super Duplex UNS S32760, plus other alloys to specification.
Operator: Screw-down T-bar with non-rotating hard tip for metal-to-metal closure.

Oliver Bolted Construction DBB Valves

Design: Bolted body construction that complements the one-piece forged range, with the customer specifying the end connector for faster delivery.
Sizes: 1/2" Class 150 through 2" Class 2500.
Materials: Carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys including Duplex and Super Duplex.
Standards: Designed to ASME VIII and ANSI B16.34. NACE MR-01-75 and firesafe to API 607 Rev 4 and BS 6755 Part 2 as standard.
Configurations: Flange to pipe, flange to flange, and flange x flange x flange.

Oliver Instrument DBB Valves (Barstock Body)

L Type: Barstock body with two in-line ball-pattern primary and secondary isolating valves and a ball valve vent for sampling, chemical injection, and double block and bleed of instrument. Bore sizes 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm. Surface mounting option.
T Type: Barstock body with a central T-ported ball valve for compact double block and bleed, sampling, or chemical injection duty. Bore sizes 10mm and 14mm. Surface mounting and Cam Interlock options.
ID Type: Barstock body with two in-line ball-pattern isolating valves and a needle pattern vent. Bore sizes 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm. Bottom vent standard, side vent optional.
IN Type: Barstock body with three needle pattern valves arranged for DBB of instrument. 5.4mm bore. Bottom vent standard, side vent optional.
Common Specs: Compact 1.6kg to 2.5kg weight, suitable for direct instrument mounting.
Pressure Rating: Matched to forged range, up to 10,000 PSI on selected bores.

Oliver Sampling and Injection DBB Valves

Sampling DBB: D or N type body with custom-length sampling probe extending into the process line. Standard probe in 316 stainless steel, other materials to specification. Single flange + screwed connection or double flange options.
Injection DBB: D or N type body with one-way poppet check valve at inlet. Probe length up to 24" maximum, standard 3mm injection orifice. Swirl-pattern spray nozzles available.
Check Valve Sizes: 10mm bore (Cv 2.0), 12mm bore (Cv 4.6), 16mm bore (Cv 7.2). Viton soft seat standard. Specify Kalrez O-ring for methanol injection.
Flange Size: 1.5" NB standard, 2" NB option, Classes 150 to 2500 RF and RTJ.

Oliver DBB Valves: Sourcing and Technical Questions

The D Type has two ball isolating valves and a needle vent. The F Type has two ball isolating valves and a ball vent. The N Type has three needle valves throughout. D and F handle larger bores (10mm to 20mm) for shutoff duty, while the N Type uses a 5.4mm metal-to-metal needle bore for higher temperature and tighter throttling control.

The maximum pressure rating is 10,000 PSI across the D, F, and N forged ranges. Standard flange classes run from ANSI 150 through ANSI 2500 in RF and RTJ, with API 5K and API 10K options on D and F types.

The temperature range depends on the seat type: up to 240°C with soft PTFE seats, up to 350°C with metal seats on D and F type ball isolators, and up to 540°C on the N Type with metal-to-metal needle seats.

We stock six body materials: ASTM A350 LF2 carbon steel, ASTM A182 F316 stainless steel, ASTM A182 F51 Duplex, UNS S32760 Super Duplex, Monel 400, and Ferralium 255. Other alloys are available against project order.

The D Type offers three bore sizes: 10mm (Cv 6.3), 14mm (Cv 11.7), and 20mm (Cv 27.9). Each bore can be ordered in flange-to-flange or flange-to-pipe configuration.

Yes. We supply the sampling variant with a fixed-orientation probe up to 24" long in 316 stainless steel, and the injection variant with a built-in Viton-seated check valve in 10mm (Cv 2.0), 12mm (Cv 4.6), or 16mm (Cv 7.2) bore. Kalrez O-rings replace Viton for methanol service.

Every valve ships with BS EN 10204 3.1 material traceability and pressure test certificates, and a unique serial number stamped on the body links the valve back to its chemical analysis records. 3.2 witnessed certification, NACE compliance certificates, and firesafe test reports are available on request.

The standard process connection is NPT female. We can also supply BSP parallel (BS 2779), BSP taper (BS 21), butt weld with 4" extensions, socket weld with 4" extensions, and twin-ferrule compression fittings. Vent is 1/2" NPT female as standard.
