The standard pressure rating of Oliver Gauge Valves is 6,000 PSI (413 bar). The /HP option uprates the same valve to 10,000 PSI (689 bar) without changing the body or connection envelope.
The temperature range of Oliver gauge valves is up to 240°C with PTFE packing and up to 540°C with Grafoil (graphite) firesafe packing. A /LT100 cryogenic head unit drops the lower limit to -100°C on the same body.
The GB1 carries a 1/4” UNF bleed screw that bleeds the gauge cavity to atmosphere for simple calibration. The GV1 carries a 1/4” NPT plugged port that lets you connect a calibration device or vent line. The GM1 has three 1/2” NPT outlets so you can mount the gauge in one of three positions and calibrate in situ.
The bore size is 0.21” (5.4 mm), and the Cv is 0.46. That small bore is what protects sensitive gauges from sudden pressure surges by limiting flow into the gauge cavity.
The standard body material is 316S31 stainless steel. We supply Monel 400 (/M) and Hastelloy C276 (/HC) on order, and Oliver will quote other alloys on request for sour or high-corrosion service.
Yes, Oliver gauge valves are available in NACE MR-01-75 (latest revision) compliance with the /NA suffix. Add /NA to the part number when ordering for sour hydrocarbon service.
We supply NPT as standard, with BSP Taper (/BT), BSP Parallel top-sealing (/BP), and butt-weld (/BW-SCH) options. Connection size on the GB1 and GV1 is 1/2”; the GM1 ships with one 1/2” inlet and three 1/2” outlets; the GM175-50 variant gives a 3/4” male inlet.
Every valve ships with BS EN 10204 3.1 material and pressure-test certification, with a unique code stamped on the body linking it back to its material and chemical analysis record. 3.2 Witnessed certification is available on request.
